ご挨拶
2019年4月より非営利活動法人として新たなスタートを切り活動を行っております、日本アセアンスポーツ協力センターにご理解とご支援をいただき、厚く御礼申し上げます。
さて、法人設立時に副理事長に就任し活動を続けてきました、山田幸雄先生（筑波大学体育系教授）が永眠いたしました。山田先生は、当活動の基となる国際スポーツ活動の礎を築き、長きにわたり尽力されてきた方です。
つきましては私、香田郡秀（筑波大学体育系教授）が、山田先生の跡を継ぎ副理事長に就任いたしました。私は大学で教鞭を執りながら世界各地で剣道の普及に注力し、当活動では初めて武道を取り入れ、日本の伝統文化を伝えて参りました経緯がございます。
日本アセアンスポーツ協力センターはテニスを中心としたスポーツを通じて、東南アジアの小中高生や大学生をはじめ一般社会人、また多くのスポーツ教育関係者などを対象に、グローバルな視点で国際交流を行ってきました。現在、「スポーツ教育」のほかに「健康教育」にも力を入れ、社会問題となっております若者の喫煙や麻薬問題などにも取り組み、日本のみならず東南アジアの子供たちの健全な発育・発達を願い活動しております。
今後はこれまでの活動に「武道」も取り入れ、スポーツの楽しさを伝えることや心身の健全な発育・発達の貢献のほかに、日本の伝統文化を各国に広め、人的交流を促進し、日本の国益となるよう活動を行う所存です。
当活動の副理事長に就任させていただくにあたり、重責を担い身が引き締まる思いではありますが、日本アセアンスポーツ協力センター及び日本と東南アジアのより一層の発展に努める強い決意と使命感を持っております。
今後とも、皆様方からの変わらぬご支援とご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Since April 2019, we began a new start as a non-profit corporation. I would like to express my deep appreciation for the understanding and support of the ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation.
As you are aware, Dr. Yukio YAMADA (Professor of Faculty of Health and Sports Science, University. Of Tsukuba), who has been appointed as Vice-President at the time of the establishment of the corporation, is no longer with us. Dr. YAMADA has long been committed to the foundation of international sports activities that form the basis of these activities.
Therefore, I, Kunihide KODA (Professor of Physical Education, University of Tsukuba) succeeded Dr. YAMADA and has become Vice President. While teaching at university, I focused on the spread of KENDO around the world, incorporating martial arts for the first time in this activity and conveying Japanese traditional culture to the world. This has led to this appointment.
The ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation has conducted international exchanges from a global perspective for elementary and junior and senior high school students, university students, general adults, and many sports educators in Southeast Asia through sports such as tennis. Currently, in addition to “sports education”, we are also focusing on “health education” and working on social issues such as smoking and drug problems among young people. That means, we work for the healthy growth and development of children not only in Japan but also in Southeast Asia.
We will incorporate “martial arts” into our activities. This is to convey the enjoyment of sports and contribute to the development of the healthy mind and body, as well as to spread Japanese traditional culture to other countries and promote human exchange. In the future, we intend to carry out activities that can benefit Japan as a whole.
When I assume the vice-presidency of this activity, I feel that I will bear the responsibility and brace myself. However, I have a strong determination and a sense of mission to further develop ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation and Japan and Southeast Asia.
We look forward to your continued support and cooperation in the future.

日本アセアンスポーツ協力センターは、これまでスポーツにおける国際化推進事業の継続的な支援を筑波大学の山田先生を中心に進め、当活動において、多くの日本と東南アジアの学生の交流の場を設けて参りました。
2019年より法人組織となり、それに伴い、医療法人理事長兼医師でもある私、平間が代表に就任させていただく運びとなりました。私は、これまで医師として、また教育者として社会貢献活動の一環として「禁煙教育」を中心に活動を続けてきた経歴がございます。
喫煙は、スポーツに励まれる学生さんにとって、健康を害するだけでなく、健全な発育に支障を生じさせてしまうため、社会全体の責務として喫煙に関する知識を学生のみならず幼少期より多くの皆様方に周知させなくてはなりません。今後は、日本のみならず東南アジアにおいても、これを機に「禁煙教育活動」を行う中で、アジア諸国の発展に尽力できるよう精進して参ります。
また、前任の代表者である山田先生が築き上げられた、日本アセアンスポーツ協力センターの礎に、「スポーツ教育」及び「健康教育」のエッセンスを注ぎ込み、より一層、日本と東南アジアの学生の交流の機会を増やし、交流促進事業に寄与することを最大の目標としております。
今後、益々グローバル化が進む日本において、当活動の代表者に就任させていただくことは、強い責任感と明確な目標を持つことが求められていると認識しております。
皆様方のお声をお聞きしながら、また、時にはご協力をいただきながら、日本アセアンスポーツ協力センター及び日本と東南アジアの発展に尽力して参ります。

ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation has been promoting ongoing support for internationalization promotion projects in sports, led by Professor Yamada of Tsukuba University. In addition, in this activity, we have set up places to interact for many Japanese and Southeast Asian students.
Along with becoming a corporate organization from 2019, I, Hirama, who is the director of the medical corporation and a doctor, became the organization’s representative. As a doctor and as an educator, I have a history of continuing activities focusing on "smoking cessation education" as a part of social contribution activities.
Smoking not only impairs health but also causes problems in healthy growth. This is especially important for students who are engaged in sports. As debt of the whole society, knowledge about smoking must be disseminated not only to students but also to many people from childhood to adults. In the future, not only in Japan but also in Southeast Asia, we will make efforts to develop Asian countries through "smoking cessation education activities“.
We have the greatest goal of contributing to this exchange promotion projects. We will further increase opportunities for exchange between Japanese and Southeast Asian students. It infuses the essence of "sports education" and "health education" to the foundation of ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation, built by the former representative, Professor Yamada.
In Japan, as globalization continues to grow, I believe that becoming a representative of this activity is required to have a strong sense of responsibility and clear goals.
While listening to the voices of all of you, and with the help of all of you from time to time, I will work on the development of ASEAN-Japan Center for Sports Cooperation and Japan and Southeast Asia.

2010年の国際テニストーナメントの開催から始めた我々の国際活動は、国策である筑波大学におけるG30プロジェクト（国際化拠点整備事業）に歩調を合わせる形で作られ、今もなお、根幹は揺るぎないスタンスでスポーツにおける国際化推進事業をバックアプしながら継続されています。
この活動において、将来、教員および指導者を目指す学生が、また指導現場で活動している若手研究員、指導者、教職員が東南アジア諸国において運動の楽しみを伝える活動に携わることで、幅広くスポーツ指導の在り方について再考する機会が得られることを期待しております。
また、日本アセアンスポーツ協力センターでは、わが国と東南アジア諸国の教員や将来教員を目指す学生などが共同して、様々なスポーツイベント、カンファレンスなどを開催していくことで学び合いによる知識創出ができると信じております。
これまで多くの皆様方から得た信頼と、グローバルな活動を行う上での責任をこの活動の代表者として強い使命感をもって臨む所存でおります。
「国際テニス大会開催活動」に続き、皆様方のご支援とご協力を今後とも宜しくお願い申し上げます。

Our international activities, starting with the opening of the International Tennis Tournament in 2010, were made following with the G30 project (internationalization for basement development project) at the University of Tsukuba, which was a national policy. Even now, it continues to back up internationalization promotion project in sports with unwavering belief.
In this activity, students aiming to become teachers and leaders in the future, and young researchers, leaders, faculty and staff who are active at the instructional site are engaged in activities to convey the pleasure of exercise in Southeast Asian countries. By doing so, we expect that they have more opportunities to reconsider how the instruction of sports should be.
Also, at the ASEAN - Japan Center for Sports Cooperation , we believe that teachers of Japan and Southeast Asian countries and students aiming for future faculty members can create knowledge by holding various sports events and conferences while cooperating together.
As a representative of this activity, I will have a strong sense of mission with trust gained from a lot of people and responsibility in carrying out global activities
Along with the "International Tennis Tournament Convention", we would like to ask for your continued support and cooperation in the future.
